HD Title Safety
All graphics, text, and frame composition elements should be placed within the safe title area to prevent key content from being cut off.
Important!
- Trans TV HD will accept commercials in HD 16:9 format only. Title safe area will be at 90% of width and height of active picture area.
- Bumi Hijau, First Media HD, Kompas TV HD, Metro TV HD, NET TV HD, Trans 7 HD, IVM HD, SCTV HD and Transvision HD can accept HD commercials with the title safe area at 90% of width and height of active picture area
- Please ensure that any logos/graphics displayed are not overlapping any stations’/channels’ logo as per the guide provided by respective media agencies.

Video Levels
All video signals should comply with ITU-R BT.709-5 (HD) or ITU-R BT.601-7 (SD) and video signals should not exceed the specified limits.
Video levels should not exceed 700mV, or fall below 0mv
Luminance (Y) -1% and 103%
(between -7mV and 721mV)
RGB video levels -5% and 105%
(between -35mV and 735mV)
Out of gamut tolerance
Whilst XR and the Broadcasters will reject illegal video levels they understand there may be instances where it is difficult to completely avoid, and following EBU recommendation Rec.103-2000 will allow a small tolerance, assuming that no more than 1% of the active picture is in error.

All TV commercials need to be cleared by Lembaga Sensor Film (LSF). LSF also covers cinema clearance. Digital commercials do not require clearance from LSF, but instead must be cleared the respective media owners of the digital/online platforms that they will be on.
To initiate the clearance process, you must supply...
- Storyboard with script, the following information must be included:
- Client
- Product
- Campaign
- Title
- Duration
- Language
- Country of Production
- Low-res MP4 video for reference
- For commercials for products containing chemicals, a Ministry of Health (MOH) certification is required to be
provided along with the submission. - For commercials involving food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic products, approval from ‘Badan Pengawas
Obat dan Makanan’ (BPOM) must be provided. - If the product contains chemicals, certification from either BPOM or MOH can be provided
Applications are made on Standard service, the results are available within 4 working days. LSF’s working hours are 9am to 6pm time (GMT + 7 ).
