General 1099 Instructions & Guidelines
It is strongly recommended that all data and vendor information is reviewed before filing in order to prevent errors. Remember, the IRS can audit productions months, or even years, after filing 1099(s).

Note: if you’re filing paper forms instead of submitting electronically, a 1096 form must accompany each filing. So if filing for both 1099 MISC and 1099 NEC’s you must submit a separate 1096 with each reporting.
