NewsOneNET is the Affiliate News Service for ABC NewsOne. All video files delivered by Extreme Reach arrive at your station in the format you specify so that you can import them straight to your Non-Linear Editor (NLE). You can download multiple files at once or download just a single file and if you use our Media Downloader Application (MDA), you can and have the files automatically download to the folder you choose. Alerts will appear automatically on the landing page and can also be seen in News Deliveries and contain urgent information on breaking news coverage. You can access and preview news content at anytime from anywhere by logging into the Extreme Reach platform. It’s accessible on PC or Mac, on just about any browser.

News Deliveries

The News Deliveries page allows you to preview, approve and download stories.
Most stories will not automatically download and require user approval prior to
download. Priority deliveries (NewsOne packages and breaking news) will arrive
pre-approved.

There are 2 delivery options:
1. Manual Download
2. Automated Download using the Media Downloader Application (MDA)

New stories will be available on the News Deliveries page in Awaiting Approval
status.

On the News Deliveries page the default settings will display stories that were
delivered over the past three days. You can change your preferences at any time
using the various search parameters at the top of the page.

If you're interested in setting up the MDA, contact our Video Network team at support@extremereach.com.

Approve/Download Stories

To approve a story and begin the download, the user has two options:

MANUAL DOWNLOAD
1. Click the blue check mark icon in the Actions column. This will change the status to either Preparing For Delivery or Ready For Download, depending on whether the file needs to be trans-coded first.

2. Once the status changes to Ready For Download, click the blue arrow icon in the Actions column to download the file. The download icon will only be visible after the status changes to Ready For Download.

Depending on how your browser is configured, it may prompt you for the download folder or automatically download the file to your default download folder.

3. You can also approve multiple stories at once by checking the boxes in the far left-hand column of the search results and then clicking the Approve Selected News Deliveries button.

AUTOMATED DOWNLOAD USING THE MDA
1. Click the blue check mark icon in the Actions column. This will change the status to either Preparing For Delivery or Queued For Download, depending on whether or not the file needs to be trans-coded first, and then download the file automatically to the download folder setup in the MDA.

You can also approve multiple stories at once by checking the boxes in the far left-hand column of the search results and then clicking the Approve Selected News Deliveries button.

NewsOne packages and breaking news will be downloaded automatically by the MDA (they will not require approval).
