Tabs Overview

In the main Broadcast Traffic Manager page a row of tabs can be seen along the top of the interface. These tabs offer a way of filtering incoming deliveries by various rules and conditions to allow you to quickly view the most relevant information.

Tab Types

The All tab shows you all of your orders. There are a further two main types of tabs: default and custom. A default tab is one which has been created by your administrator and cannot be deleted or edited by a regular user. They would be created as a default set of tabs for specific scenarios. For example, if the user is involved in a two-stage approval process as proxy master approver, such default tabs might be created:

  • All tab - contains all Order Items (in table view).
  • Awaiting Proxy Approval tab - contains Order Items with commercials in Proxy Ready for Approval status.
  • Proxy Approved tab - contains Order Items with commercials in Master Ready for Approval status.
  • Proxy Rejected tab - contains Order Items with commercials in Proxy Rejected status.
  • Awaiting Master Approval tab - contains Order Items with commercials in Master Ready for Approvals status.
  • Master Approved tab - contains Order Items with commercials in Master Released status.
  • Master Rejected tab - contains Order Items with commercials in Master Rejected status.

Custom tabs, however, can be created, edited and deleted by any user to provide a further level of filtering. Custom tabs can be of either Order Item (Clock) type or Order Item (Send) type, where a clock type tab will filter based on information at the clock/commercial level and a send type tab will filter based on information regarding the destination.

Once you've created new tabs, you can choose which one will be open as a default, by using the pin icon. Furthermore, to navigate between different tabs simply use the arrow controls to the left and right of the tabs and to re-order the tabs themselves use the ⇅ icon to the right of the tabs and drag to rearrange.

Creating a new tab

To create a new tab, follow these steps:

  1. Click the + icon to the right of the tabs.
  2. Give the tab a name and choose its type as either Clock or Send (as described above).
  3. Choose your market metadata schema, this allows you to use market specific metadata
  4. Add a rule, then enter a condition for that rule:
    • Pick a field from the dropdown (e.g. aspect ratio)
    • Choose a condition (e.g. match, does not match)
    • Define the value of the condition (e.g. 16:9).
    • For the above example the tab would be filtering for orders which have an aspect ratio of 16:9.
If you'd like to add another condition for this rule you can do so, but once you do, you need to decide whether the rule operates by matching all or any of the conditions, from the available drop down. With conditions you have the choice on how the logic behaves, but if you were to have multiple rules they always work on an all basis. An example of this logic can be seen in the image below, where a clock would only appear if the market matched either Italy or Spain and the aspect ratio is 16:9.

Once you've decided on your rule and condition setup there are just a few more steps to complete.

  • You can filter items by status, such as Master Released or File Not Supplied.
  • Choose a date range, meaning only deliveries within this range will appear in your tab.
  • You have the option to make this tab available to other users on your account, or to leave it as an individual tab.

Once you've made your tab you can always edit it or delete it through the cog icon underneath the tabs bar.
