Once you have your collection setup, you can harness the power of metadata to filter your assets.
- Firstly highlight the collection in question and then, in the main section, you will be able to add fields. Start with the first field by choosing from the dropdown which metadata field you want to start the filtering with.
- If your metadata setup is structured by hierarchical fields, you will have to use the same order for the filtering.
- Once you've chosen your metadata field you can enter the value for the condition in the new field.
- Click + to add this condition which will then reveal a new blank drop-down menu to repeat the process if desired.
- Click Save to save your setup as the collection you have marked on the left
- Click Save as a collection to save the filter results as a new collection
Above the metadata fields you will see a row of switches and a dropdown menu for the media sub types. These reflect the switches seen in the Library and Projects modules when viewing files and assets. By setting the switches here in a certain way it will lock those switches in place when viewing that collection in the Library.
